Well hello! It's been awhile and I know you are all dying to see whats been going on in my little world.
My gallbladder is doing fine and they couldn't see any gall stones during the ultrasound so... I don't have to get it taken out.
Christmas was great and we had alot of fun with all of our families. We decided not to make this christmas about the stuff and that was nice. Chad and I each spent only $50 on each other and Santa brought Dallen a toy and a stuffed animal. Then we paid like $700 on a credit card!
We might be moving to Minnesota next summer for Chad to go to school out there. In the paper this weekend there was a story about the FAA hiring about 12,500 people for Air Traffic Control Specialists over the next 10 years. In Salt Lake City alone they are hiring 600.
To be an Air Traffic Control Person you need to have a 2 year degree and then go to a training school for about 4 months. The closest one to us is Minneapolis. So then after you graduate you are pretty much hired because they need people so bad. The paper said that here in SLC you make about 38k your first year, 50k your 2nd, and 97k by your third year. A guy that has worked there for about 17 years reported that he makes 200k.
HOLY CRAP! I'm excited and I think of all people that I know Chad would make a wonderful Air Traffic Controller. He's so calm and doesn't get stressed out by much. Its not dream job but dream money.
I think we have pretty big chances of getting a job here back in SLC too. I mean how many people are going to up and move to MN for a couple of months. I checked on some apartments and extended stay places for prices. We could stay at this hotel for about $900 a month but we get free continental breakfast every morning and housekeeping to clean up every couple of days... HELLO HEAVEN!
I'm so excited! I hope it all works out because its either this or Chad be stuck at UPS for ever and not really move up and not make squat for money.
